Brick's Hill

Brick's Hill

The Dunvegan Trail is considered to be one of the oldest non-aboriginal trails in the Peace country, having been used for over 100 years before the first settlers came into the area from the Crossing to Waterhole. The part of this trail that remains is known locally as the Shaftsbury Trail, which wanders its way upstream along the banks of the river from the Town of Peace River to Brick's Hill. Here it winds its way up out of the river valley and meets with the surveyed township and range roads which break up most of the farming country into the familiar prairie checkerboard pattern of fields and roads.
