This is my public service message, what I deliver to everyone regardless ofwhether or not they are a client, or whether or not they are likely to
become a client. It is a part of a "serve first, sell second" philosophy. I
feel strongly that the greater number of people who know what I am about to deliver, the greater the number of people who will live with some increased measure of financial security. This is stuff that everyone needs to know to make rational financial decisions and I am sure that most Canadians do not know it! Last, but not least, I need to dispel 2 particularly hurtful myths, "It won't happen to me," and if it does, "the government will look after me."

First, a little bit about me. I'm 50 years old. My wife Sherry and I have 2
sons, Glenn, age 9, and Adam, age 12. I was raised on a grain and cattle
farm near Brant, Alberta. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc. in Agriculture in 1978. I have worked 23 years for various Coops. The Coop system encouraged their people to move around within the organization, and acquire a broad base of experience. Subsequently, I held several sales, supervisory and management positions for Wetaskiwin Coop, Neepawa-Gladstone Coop, Edmonton Coop and Federated Cooperatives. In December of 1992, I moved up to the Peace Country to work as general manager for the St. Isidore Coop. While with the St. Isidore Coop I served 4 years on the board of a national industry trade association, the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers, including 1 year as its president. I became a Clarica Financial Advisor in December 2001.

I am going to give you some information that will change you and your
family's life forever, and with your permission, we're going to "do what
matters," together. We will find out how to position you, and your family,
so that you will always maintain your financial dignity. I'll show you how
acquire more control of your finances and how to gain some measure of
independence from circumstance, government and world events. What makes me different from other financial advisors is that I try to understand the worlds of economics and investment, of politics and science, and think about how they will come together in the approaching years. You won't get this stuff from your accountant, your lawyer, or your banker. You will get it from me, and this is how I add value to what I do.
